ReWise Visit

We were fortunate enough to be joined by ReWise Learning last Thursday. Some of our Year 7 and 8 pupils took part in a ‘Learn Thru Music’ course.

The pupils had the opportunity to compose, write, perform AND record a song! This related to their Covid experiences and ‘Life after Lockdown.’

This was a fantastic experience and all pupils felt it was enjoyable, confidence building and increased their self-belief in these challenging times.

Great fun was had by all, watch this space for our budding superstars!

Morriston Digital Leaders leading the way.

Amazing effort from our MCS Digital Leaders who have now completed Module 6 of their training on the ChildNet Digital Leaders Programme. Our MCS Digital Leaders have gained first position on the UK Digital Leader Leaderboard! We are looking forward to the team educating their peers about online safety next academic year.

Return to school letter – 18-03-21

Dear Parent / Carer,
Following Mr Franklin’s letter last week regarding the return to school, I want to give you more detail about the return of Years 9, 8 and 7.

As stated by the Welsh Government, Key Stage 3 pupils will have the opportunity to attend school for a ‘catch up’ day before the Easter holidays. It is vitally important the children attend
this day as it will provide an opportunity for us to gauge their wellbeing, provide support to those who need it and it will provide a sense of normality for the children. Therefore each year
group in Key Stage 3 has been allocated the following days on which to attend school:

Parental letter for Y10 Y12 March 18th

Following my letter on the 5th March regarding the return of some year groups, I want to give you more detail about the return of Year 10 and Year 12 this week.

It is important to state at the outset that the precautions and rules we have in Morriston are not replacing any Welsh government public health guidance. It is vital that if your child or any member of your household show any Covid symptoms you all self-isolate immediately and keep your child home, book a test and notify the school. This will protect the school population and ensure we keep transmission rates low to avoid further lockdowns.
