Huge congratulations to our Year 11 students on achieving excellent results today. Despite having their GCSE years seriously affected by the pandemic and national lockdowns our children have worked incredibly hard and achieved some fantastic grades.
We are delighted that 70% of students achieved at A*-C grades in English and 62% achieving A*-C in Mathematics. with over 95% achieving A*-G in English and maths.
In Morriston we offer a wide range of vocational subjects as traditional GCSEs, and it was very pleasing to see students achieving excellent results in these subjects.
We were particularly pleased with the number of students gaining the top A*/A grades and Distinctions. For example, 38% of grades in Geography were A*/A, 30.4% of grades in Computer Science were A*/A , 31.3% gained A*/A in Biology, over 27% achieved A*/A in History and 58.3% of D&T Product Design students achieved the top grades.
