Period Talk Tickets

Talking about periods can feel tricky, but it’s an important topic—especially for autistic children and young people who may benefit from clear, structured information.
The National Autistic Society offers guidance to help parents and carers navigate these conversations in a way that feels supportive and reassuring.

Getting your period maybe a sensitive topic for parents, children and young people to deal with. However, introducing the topic of periods to autistic individuals or individuals with Autism may be unsettling, creating concerns, worries and insecurities.

Set in a safe space, the NAS Swansea Branch invite parents and professionals to our talk on periods, which will be delivered by a registered midwife.

There has been time set aside for parents and professionals to ask questions for clarity and further understanding remembering every question is important, before leaving with your complimentary period packs which will consist of:

      • Sanitary towels
      • Period knickers

We would like to thank Welsh Government/Swansea Council and their Period Dignity in Communities Grant 2024-25, to provide relief from and prevent period poverty. This Grant enabled us to purchase these items to distribute during this talk.

Many thanks,

Team NAS Swansea
