Glan Llyn 2026

A group of our pupils recently enjoyed a fantastic Urdd residential weekend at Glan-llyn, Bala, North Wales.

Throughout the weekend, pupils took part in a wide range of exciting outdoor and team-building activities, including bushcraft, orienteering, archery, swimming, raft building, wall climbing, a bird show, a ropes course, canoeing and paddleboarding.

Alongside all of the activities, pupils also had lots of opportunities to hear, use and practise their Welsh in a fun and supportive environment, helping to build their confidence in speaking the language outside of the classroom.

The weekend was a brilliant opportunity for pupils to develop their confidence, resilience, teamwork and communication skills, while enjoying the beautiful surroundings of North Wales and using their Welsh in real-life situations.

We are incredibly proud of how well our pupils represented the school throughout the weekend. A fantastic experience, plenty of Welsh spoken and lots of great memories made!

Yn ddiweddar, cafodd grŵp o’n disgyblion benwythnos preswyl gwych gyda’r Urdd yng Nglan-llyn, Y Bala, Gogledd Cymru.

Yn ystod y penwythnos, cafodd y disgyblion gyfle i gymryd rhan mewn llawer o weithgareddau cyffrous, gan gynnwys sgiliau goroesi, cyfeiriannu, saethyddiaeth, nofio, adeiladu rafft, dringo wal, sioe adar, cwrs rhaffau, canŵio a padlfyrddio.

Roedd hefyd yn gyfle gwych i’r disgyblion ddefnyddio ac ymarfer eu Cymraeg y tu allan i’r ystafell ddosbarth mewn ffordd hwyliog a naturiol.

Helpodd y penwythnos y disgyblion i ddatblygu eu hyder, eu gwydnwch, eu gwaith tîm a’u sgiliau cyfathrebu, wrth fwynhau amgylchedd hyfryd Gogledd Cymru a defnyddio eu Cymraeg mewn sefyllfaoedd bywyd go iawn.
