DESCRIPTION:Unfortunately\, tonight’s Year 10 GCSE Maths Information Evening has been postponed. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.\nA new date will be shared with you soon.\n\nIn school we are focussing our learners on this term’s GCSE examinations in Mathematics & Numeracy. This is the ideal time for individuals to develop good study skills habits and routines which will make their time spent on exam preparation more effective and productive. However\, for many children this can be a daunting task with which they struggle. As a parent or carer\, the role you play can make a big difference to them.\nIn our experience it is in the areas of Maths and Numeracy that families most find challenging when preparing for exams. With this in mind we would like to invite you and your child to the support event highlighted above. The session will equip you both with effective approaches on to how to organise your time\, how to prioritise what you revise and provide you with a clear strategy for learning. You will increase your understanding of the content and demands of the GCSE Maths & Numeracy course\, the assessment processes and also gain an idea of how marks relate to overall grades. You will be shown how exam questions are marked and be able to try marking yourself. There will be a walkthrough of recommended websites and you will be given access to online personal support. At the end of the session you will be given copies of resources and revision aids to take away with you so that you can get the revision planning started.\nClick for more information
